What started more than 20 years ago as a small family operation producing and selling dried fish under the name Sun Dried Specialties has grown into a culinary masterpiece of local cuisine. Executive Chef Bryan Fujikawa, along with his wife Rebecca and their two daughters, began drying fish using traditional methods, creating what became known as the best dried Ahi, Aku, and Opelu in Hawaii and beyond. In the years since, Sun Dried Specialties has expanded to include the Fishbowl and Kona Grill House, a welcoming spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy fresh poke, delectable desserts, and unforgettable grilled dishes. Chef Bryan’s dedication to quality and community has made his food a beloved staple, known for its exceptional flavors and consistency. Now, as they embark on a new venture, Chef Bryan continues to support his community while opening the door to new possibilities, ensuring that the cherished traditions and tastes of Sun Dried Specialties live on.
